New Pal

Hope you enjoyed the surprise Saturday post from my hubby. That would be me, digging in the dirt, apparently getting back in touch with my 9-year-old self ;) He very sneakily took the picture on his phone while we were at the park the other day, and is quite ticked with himself over getting it on our blog for you to see!

Anyway :)

By now you have probably noticed Emma's fondness for her Kitty. She takes Kitty down slides, on walks, and swimming, and has even started bringing Kitty to bed with her.

Kitty was a gift to Emma from her MoMo (my Grandma). MoMo was pushing Emma in a cart at JoAnn's Fabrics around Christmas while my Mom and I were looking at something, and the next time we saw the two of them, there Emma was clutching Kitty. Of course, Kitty just had to come home with us.

Sadly, while were in Manhattan this summer visiting K-State, Kitty mysteriously vanished. We think Emma may have dropped her somewhere on campus while we were walking. Poor Kitty. And, poor Emma.

Just when we thought we'd never see Kitty again, a package came in the mail for Emma. Grandma had found her an identical Kitty, and Emma was so happy. They've been practically inseparable ever since.

Well, fast-forward to this weekend. Emma and I ran into JoAnn's to look at Halloween costume patterns, and we passed a bin of little animals made by the same company that made Kitty. In the bin were dogs galore, and Emma wenttotallynuts smiling and laughing and barking at them. I lined up all of the different dogs (7 of them), and she immediately grabbed the Beagle.
So, now we have Kitty (which still comes out Kkkkkkk) and Ru-Ru (the u comes out uh).

Does she have a favorite? You know, I don't think she does. On our walk last night, for example, she took turns looking super lovingly at each of them.
