Remember when the room looked like this?
Well, it has come a long way! We took this picture from the door of Emma's room last night.
From the northeast corner.
And from the southwest corner.
Want a closer peek?
This is the inside of Emma's crib.
And here is what is on top of the small table sitting next to the rocker
and the dresser/changing table.
In the first drawer of the dresser/changing table is where diapers, wipes, and diaper cream will go.
In the second drawer are sleepers and some white onesies.
And this is the inside of her armoire. Her clothes (in lots of different sizes) are hanging, she has some toys on the shelf, and in the baskets are a few receiving blankets, larger blankets, and burp cloths. In the bottom drawer are socks, bibs, hats, and pants.
Wonder what's hanging on either side of the armoire? They are holding Emma's books! We bought them at IKEA (they're actually magazine racks) and Tyler stained the metal a cherry color to match the furniture.
Another project was the butterfly chandelier that is hanging above her crib. I made it over the course of several weeks and will definitely blog about the process one of these days.
I can't end this series of posts without saying thanks to all of you. When Tyler and I walked around Emma's nursery last night before he left town, we noticed how so much of what is in the room and around our house came from you. Emma has some beautiful and special things both new and old. She is a lucky girl.
