A very special broom.
My brother is currently touring the U.S. as a performer in Les Miserables. Recently, the show took him to Milwaukee.
It was while he was in Milwaukee that he sent this picture to my Mom with a caption that read something super nonchalant (his style) like, "Is this our broom?"
My Mom, shocked, leaned over and showed me the picture, and sure enough, I, too, remembered it.
Apparently the broom was backstage at the theater Ian was performing at.
In Milwaukee.
Yup, in Milwaukee.
Why is that a big deal?
We grew up in Iowa.
Yup, in Iowa.
Milwaukee's a long way from Iowa.
We have no idea how it ended up in Milwaukee, as none of us had been there and no one remembered ever getting rid of the broom. I suppose the whole situation would be like writing your name on a dollar bill in Arizona and receiving it back in change in California some 20 years later.
