Independence

What we've noticed about Emma lately is that she's becoming more content to play independently. Not for long, or far away from us, or during certain times of the day, but she is definitely doing it.

What I love to do is sit back and watch her play. It's fun seeing which toys she's drawn to and how she plays with them. I can tell that the wheels are always turning. She's always thinking, concentrating, reasoning, and experimenting.

And it's in those moments watching her that I can't believe she ever lived in me! And it wasn't even that long ago! The mind and body are truly amazing. A miracle, really.

Here are some pictures I've taken over the past few weeks. They are of Emma and her cheeks playing.
