DIY Butterfly Art

In an effort to save us some cash, I made these three pieces of art for Emma's room.

I am going to hang them above her crib.

Here's how I made them:

1. First I bought some scrapbooking paper in pale creams, pinks, and greens, which are the colors we're using in Emma's room. I have to give a shout out to Tyler here because he's actually the one who picked the paper. We had just a minute to shop one night on our way to a movie. Being the decisive one in our relationship, he narrowed down my 15 choices to the 4 or 5 I ended up using. Really, I should beg him to shop with me more often. It would save me all kinds of time :)

2. With a butterfly punch, I puched out a pile of butterflies.

3. Next I arranged and glued them on three pieces of cream card stock.

4. And finally, I took the glass out of three cherry frames I bought at IKEA for under $10 and fit the butterfly pictures in the frames.

Ta da! I love how they turned out.
